The new sedan will be based on a new Alpha RWD platform. The car will be the replacement for an unsuccessful model Epsilon Cadillac BLS in the Europe and will expand car lineup in North America.

The similar Alpha platform will be a basis for the convertible and conventional coupe.
Besides, the General Motors put on hold a DT7 project (plan to unite the DTS & STS models into 1 rear wheel drive sedan). Now DT7 is planned to be unveiled in 2012 and not in 2011 as before declared.

Mr. Alexei Mikhailov participated in contest with his eco friendly concept car ‘Henosis’ (in Greek : utility, oneness ). He designed the vehicle that bonds driver with a machine in such a way that car can analyze an environment, driver’s expressions, mood and body temperature to offer comfortable and secure driving experience.

The concept wants to discover the fresh possibilities of car creation in order to get a perfect body.

And now the news is that the future edition will make use of rotary engine able to on running on hydrogen power.

The new car is expected to be named as RX-9 and may take styling features from Taiki concept. The car will be provided with the options of automatic or manual transmissions running rear wheels.

The car sale is expected in 2012. Mazda supposes they will build the hydrogen engine 20% more efficient than other engine they are testing now.
