New apcars models on display only @ New York International Show

Automotive pioneer ZAP shall be present at the New York International Auto Show for the first time with a full line of fuel-efficient and advanced technology ZAPCARS(TM) and other vehicles on display, all designed to help Americans save gas and money.

ZAP’s display is located in the Galleria, Booth D of the New York International Auto Show, running April 14-23 at the Jacob K. Javits Center. As part of its display, ZAP will be showcasing the famous Smart Car Americanized for ZAP, the OBVIO ! 828 “trybrid” sports car concept, and the XEBRA(TM) all-electric “city-car.”

Although available throughout the world, this will be the first time US legal Smart Cars are available in the USA. ZAP adds that they are now offering the nation’s only micro-car through its authorized dealer and service network. Smart Cars have now been delivered and sold to several ZAP authorized dealers around the country while the Company is ramping up distribution along with other cars that seek to target the micro-car niche with advanced technologies.

This spring ZAP intends to roll out its new XEBRA, one of the world’s only production all-electric city-cars. US consumers will have the first chance to order this unique four-passenger vehicle for under $10,000 as ZAP sets up distribution in the United States through its authorized dealers.

ZAP is also unveiling a new “trybrid” sports car concept, the OBVIO ! 828, through a partnership with Brazilian automaker OBVIO !(TM) Automotoveiculos S.P.E. Ltda., of Rio de Janeiro. ZAP is the exclusive North American distributor for the OBVIO ! “trybrids,” which have the ability to run on gas, electricity or alcohol (called ethanol in the US), which ZAP is planning to make available through its dealer network.

ZAP offers ways for the whole family to pitch in with fuel-efficient transportation. For the first time, ZAP will be showing its 2006 line of ZAPPY3 electric scooters, MUD-E electric dirt bikes and BUZZZ ATVs at the New York International Auto Show. The roadster Porsche 911-GT3.

As you might have heard the new GT3 unit is somewere on top in the world’s production series sport cars. This title has been earned by it’s slick and sharp design, that is specific to Porsche cars, and by it’s performance: the six-cylinder engine of the porsche GT3, that reaches a maxim output of 7600 RPM and a maxim speed limit of 8400 RPM.

In comparison with the precedent model, the GT3 has a new exhaust system that is 12 litres more efficent. To top thing up the car is noise free and fulfils all EURO 4 standards, but in the same time ofers a great sence of sporting plesure.

The gearbox has six speeds and includes a shorter transmission ratio than the earlier model, making the car more efficent and faster. That means, on the road, that the car has acceleration from 0-100 km/h in just 4.4 second, with reaching 160 km/h in 8.8 seconds. It’s top speed is 315 km/h or 195 mph.

Despite it’s high speed performance, the GT3 is built for safety as well. It’s design ensures also a great look, but also ensures safety by it’s high downforce by the rear wing and dam, reducing the drag of the car
