Cadillac Making 3-Series Competitor

Cadillac’s new challenger for a 3-Series BMW is announced. The new sedan will be based on a new Alpha RWD platform. The car will be the replacement for an unsuccessful model Epsilon Cadillac BLS in the Europe and will expand car lineup in North America.

The similar Alpha platform will be a basis for the convertible and conventional coupe.
Besides, the General Motors put on hold a DT7 project (plan to unite the DTS & STS models into 1 rear wheel drive sedan). Now DT7 is planned to be unveiled in 2012 and not in 2011 as before declared.
