VW to Launch ‘1-liter’ Car in 2010

VW announced that their 1-liter car, having capacity of 1-liter per 100km, will be introduced as the limited edition in 2010. The car was unveiled as the prototype in 2002.

The creation is possible as the price of carbon fibre monocoque materials dropped from €35000 to €5000.

The car concept was said to be capable of 282MPG or 0.83L per 100km, it have a weight of just 300kg and has the 1+1 seating arrangement.

The cost for the 1L car will be between €20,000 - €30,000.
