This ‘Low CO2′ concept is verified in an Opel Astra and it uses Lotus-Designed Pressure Charged 3-cylinder 1.5L Gasoline Engine integrated with no. of technologies from Lotus.

The engine features innovative combined centrally mounted injectors, exhaust manifold design, cam profile lift and timing switching, a mild hybrid drive and high pressure fuel pump.

This result in 15 percent reduction in CO2 emission compared to same vehicle version, naturally aspirated 1.8 liter 4-cylinder Astra engine.
