BMW 5 and 6 Series Cars with Active Cruise Control
The world’s leading performance-German luxury manufacturers of cars and motorcycles BMW reported that they are now including their Active Cruise Control system on 5 and 6 Series cars.
The system uses the radar sensors which automatically stops the car if the distance is no longer maintained. Active Cruise Control with a special braking function will starts the functioning, if the road ahead is free.
Drivers would have the choice to set the proper limit to be followed by the system. After this setting, the system will drive the car on its own and the owner only needs to handle the steering wheel.
BMW spokesman Toni Andreevski said:
What’s novel about it today will be quite normal in a couple of years’ time. As a result, drivers will be less tired, less stressed and more able to react to dangers on the road.
