Mini Cooper S Review

supercarblog Mini Cooper S

Yup, The Mini Cooper, to my pleasure, i can say is one of the most fun to drive car availeble out there. Why is it so much fun? It’s becouse of it’s shere size, that makes it really enjoyeble on the open road, when your out with your friends, and also it’s great handling. But shere fun can’t make a car succed, like the Mini Cooper has, it’s main advantages are it’s low price, not too high to be in competition with better classed models, but not too low priced to make it seem to poorly made.
The Mini Cooper is like it has it’s own atmosphere, it’s driving experience and design gives it a great look, and kinda’ makes you happy, driving this extraordinary piece of machinery. The Mini’s origins go back to the early 60’s, in England, where it made it’s footprint on the world, it’s greatest moment, was in the Beatles age.

Becouse the earlyest models, lacked power, it wasn’t very succesful in the USA, but in the UK it was totaly different, everybody was in it. It was own by such a high diversity of social classes, that you see common folk driving the same cars as rock stars or other great personalitys of the time. In time the Mini even became a simbol of the UK.

As you certanly might know, looks aren’t enough, it’s performance match it. The man, the MIni Cooper got it’s name, John Cooper was contracted to produce high-performance mini cars, and thus the mini was born. First with a 997cc, 55-horsepower engine, and eventually with 1275ccs and 76 horsepower. With excellent handling and about 1400 pounds to pull, the Mini Cooper S 1275 could show its heels to many a larger and allegedly faster car, including some two-seat sports cars.

The Mini Cooper has a very long history, being in production since 1959 untill 2000, but the Mini Cooper once halted production during 1971. The second generation went in production in the early 90′, when german auto company BMW, bought the Mini Cooper’s parent company the Rover Group, and thus, went yet again in production, with a new fresh look.
We had great expectations from this car and we were very pleased by it, it’s not the fastest or the meanest, but it’s loads of fun to drive.
