New golf`s life ends in 2008
The new volkswagen golf could be one of the shortest product lifecycle in the history of the german car company. The current golf, launched this year hasn`t yet been launched in North America and a new one is expected in the third quarter of 2008.
The first version of the fifth generation golf is on sale in Europe since 2003 and the last generation, the 2006 GTI Golf has been launched in february 2006.

At it`s begginings, in 1974, the golf had seven year lifecycles. However, the last model launched is very sophisticated and it`s time of production is really high, so it`s very expensive to produce.
The streamline production of the new golf that will be launched in 2008 is expected to include a coupe and an offroader, based on Concept A revealed at Geneva. This is intented to improve the productivity over the next four years with 10 percents.
